Abstract We report on a case of failed Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in a 78-year-old male, complicated by the dislodgment of a CoreValve into the distal ascending aorta after it was successfully implanted. The case was managed surgically by retrieving and re-implanting the dislodged valve as a bailout strategy.
