The Constitution of the Russian Federation is the main law of the country, which establishes the foundations of Russian society and the state. The norms of the Constitution are usually classified on various grounds. The political and legal nature of the Constitution makes it possible to distinguish, according to the criterion of functional orientation, in addition to regulatory and protective norms, also norms-values that fund society and allow us to talk about Russian identity. Much attention was paid to these norms when amending the Constitution of the Russian Federation in 2020.
