At present, with the rapid development of new bridges, the prominent contradiction between the high demand for service safety and service quality of China's in-service bridges and the lack of actual performance of structures is becoming more and more reflected. In order to solve this problem, vigorously developing bridge health monitoring technology has become one of the important means. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the parameter processing and evaluation and maintenance of bridge health monitoring, including the collection, transmission, processing, and evaluation of monitoring data, and distinguishes between two different evaluation methods based on time-varying reliability theory and those based on historical measurement data. The article also provides an overview of the current challenges in the field of bridge health monitoring and an outlook for future directions.
