The article presents an analysis of the value orientations of students at the branch of the Russian State Pedagogical University in Nizhny Tagil, which influence the formation of their worldview. The worldview of young people is based on a system of values that are transformed under the influence of socio-cultural, socio-economic, socio-political conditions. There is a certain contradiction in the value system of young people, such as the priority of family values and an indifferent attitude towards marriage; awareness of oneself as a citizen of Russia and an insufficiently formed sense of patriotism. In any society, values are the object of education, in this regard, social education, having a broader content, allows not only to influence the formation of individual values, but also helps to build them into a system, thereby forming the modern trajectory of the worldview of young people.
