The article examines the issues of control (supervisory) activities of Rostrud, shows the features of carrying out planned and unscheduled control (supervisory) measures until 2030, the use of a risk-based approach and indicators; the priority of preventive measures is emphasized and emphasis is placed on the need to reduce the control (supervisory) burden on employers. The author, examining the norms on control (supervision) and the Concept for improving control (supervisory) activities until 2026, and, based on it, shows the prospects for the development of this activity of Rostrud. As a result, conclusions are drawn about the importance of consolidating the definitions of causing harm to the life and health of workers and the threat of them; on increasing the number of specific indicators (risk indicators) due to, for example, non-provision of leave, violation of work and rest schedules, illegal disciplinary action, etc. Attention is drawn to the high importance of a planned preventive visit as a primary measure to prevent violations of mandatory requirements in the world of work before a control (supervisory) event is carried out, and the possibility of actually replacing a control (supervisory) event planned for high-risk employers with a preventive visit is also considered.
