Non-keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma – A rare variant of sinonasal tract malignancy invading orbit: A case report and review of literature

This case report presents a rare case of orbital invasion from non-keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma (NKCa) of paranasal sinuses. A male patient presented with painful bleeding from a mass near the left eye, blood-stained discharge from the left nostril, fatigue, and weight loss. There was a heterogenous lesion inferomedial to the left eye, inside the left nostril, and in the oral cavity. Palpable neck lymph nodes, computed tomography scan showing a bone-eroding lesion, histopathology, and immunohistochemistry findings suggested malignancy of the NKCa variant. Immediate chemotherapy showed improvement after the first cycle, and the patient is under regular follow-up.
