The purpose of this study was to verify the dual-mediating effect of self-identity and selfesteem on the effect of smartphone addiction on the body image of adolescents.To achieve this goal, the data of 1,326 adolescents from the 14th survey of the Korean children's panel were used for analysis.Reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, and correlation analysis were performed using SPSS win 24.0 version, and the dual mediation effect was analyzed using SPSS PROCESS MACRO 4.2 version 6 model.First, the correlation between smartphone addiction and self-identity, self-esteem, and body image among adolescents all had negative effects.Second, the mediating effect of self-identity in the relationship between smartphone addiction and body image in adolescents was confirmed.Third, the mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship between smartphone addiction and body image in adolescents was confirmed.Fourth, adolescents' smartphone addiction also had an indirect effect on their physical image by channeling their self-identity and self-esteem.In other words, self-identity and self-esteem showed a double-mediating effect in the relationship between smartphone addiction and body image in adolescents.This suggests a variety of educational methods that can establish a healthy body image, as adolescents become active and active participants through positive self-identity, and positive perception of body image affects self-identity and self-esteem.
