The article provides a brief analysis of modern threats to the urban population from unmanned aerial vehicles, which have been actively used by terrorist organizations and the armed forces of Ukraine in the territories adjacent to the area of a special military operation. As the main directions for countering unmanned aerial combat vehicles, the following are considered: suppression and blocking of UAVs using radioelectronic effects; interception of drones using information and software effects; electromagnetic (microwave) effects on UAVs; destruction of drones through optoelectronic (laser) effects; mechanical means of destroying UAVs (special networks, fire or kinetic effects).
