The article describes the stages of the process of constitutionalization of Russian law in the thirty years after the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation in 1993, its rapid evolution after amendments to the Constitution in 2020. It acquires new dimensions, influencing the change of the legal worldview, has an impact on the epistemology of Russian law, its ontology and axiology. As a result of the ‘Russian-style constitutionalization’, the extremely abstract norms of civil and antimonopoly legislation are being demystified, a process characteristic of postclassical legal understanding. Using the example of a number of well-known decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, a new methodology for nominalizing abstract legal norms containing the so-called ‘transformed legal forms’ is described.
