Traditional Spiritual and Moral Values and Criminal Law

The article considers criminal legal protection of traditional spiritual and moral values, gives a general characteristic of the normative-legal basis of traditional spiritual and moral values. The author concludes that at present the basic normative act, which defines the guidelines of Russian spiritual and moral values is the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation from November 9, 2022 № 809. The importance of criminal-legal protection of traditional spiritual and moral values at the present stage of development of criminal policy is noted. In this case, in criminal law, traditional spiritual and moral values can be considered as an object of criminal leg al protection. On the basis of the conducted monitoring of public opinion the conclusion is made about the necessity of further improvement of legislative regulation of protection of traditional spiritual and moral values.
