This study successfully synthesized TiO2 nanotube films doped with Ni, Mo, and Ag ions via the spin-coating technique, exploring the impact of these metal ions on the photocatalytic efficiency of TiO2 films. The films' structure, morphology, and light absorption characteristics were analyzed through X-ray diffraction (XRD) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy. Photocatalytic activity was evaluated by conducting photodegradation experiments with methylene blue on the doped TiO2 films. Results demonstrated that suitable metal ion doping markedly enhances TiO2's photocatalytic efficiency by boosting visible light absorption and optimizing the photogenerated carriers' separation and transfer, thus amplifying methylene blue degradation. Experimental findings suggested that by fine-tuning the doping concentration, optimal photocatalytic activity is attainable, with Ag-doped TiO2 films displaying superior performance.
