Over the recent few years, divorce rates have increased steadily, and marriage rates have decreased in Iran, which highlights the necessity to study. Obviously, the unidimensional study is insufficient due to the complex nature of the issue. Therefore, the qualitative study was conducted through the grounded theory approach and a purposeful and theoretical sampling method and data collection through triangulation, including semi-structured interviews with academic experts, counselors, and young adult clients. The data were analyzed in a cyclical process using open, axial, and selective coding. Macro factors are not only known as the causes of marriage reduction and divorce increase; they also play a role as a double pressure of marital conflicts and some micro factors such as addiction and violence. Accordingly, in addition to considering the micro and macro factors, necessary to pay attention to their impacts and influence on each other systemically.
