The article examines normative legal acts that form the system of legislation in the sphere of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine. An analysis of the main directions of development and changes in institutions due to the emergence of new trends in the development of the agro-industrial complex was carried out. It was established that in the conditions of the transition to a market economy in Ukraine, there was an urgent need to develop and implement a large set of legal, organizational, economic, scientific, social and other measures in order to ensure the development of the agrarian sphere of the economy, which would fully meet the needs of the country, ensure its food supply safety. It was found that this is especially relevant in the conditions of European integration processes, therefore it is extremely important to constantly research and improve the level of state regulation of activities in the agricultural sector in order to bring them into line with the standards of the European Union. The presence of imperfect national legislation characterizes the administrative and legal regulation of the modern Ukrainian agro-industrial complex, which necessitates the systematic reform of the agro-industrial sphere at both the state and regional levels. The author came to the conclusion that an important legal means of proper implementation of measures to reform social relations in the agrarian sector of the economy is a scientifically based, mutually agreed system of legislation of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine.
