Purpose : In order for Incheon Port to grow into a complex value port, this study intends to propose ways to strengthen the feedback function of the incentive system from a long-term perspective, flexibly manipulate strategic area incentives, and support Sea&Air multimodal transportation through the analysis of the current status and effectiveness of Incheon Port's volume incentives. Research design, data and methodology : This thesis adopted a literary focused research method. In order to deal with the contents determined by the scope of the study, a theoretical approach targeting the current status of domestic and foreign port incentives, support systems, and related theses was used. Results : Effect analysis showed that incentive systems influenced the decision of port users regarding which port to use. Each port user was found to have a very positive perception of the financial effects of offsetting future logistics costs through port incentive systems. Conclusions : As an improvement plan, first, it seems necessary to strengthen the feedback function of the incentive system. Second, flexible adjustments of incentives in strategic areas are needed. Third, Sea&Air incentives must be improved. Fourth, there may be need for review of incentive system standardization.
