NIRF Rankings is considered the gold standard of Indian University rankings.Many important decisions, from student admissions to recruitment, depend onthe rankings. In this analysis, we show glaring problems with definitions of someof the most important parameters of NIRF. The parameters together account for55% of total NIRF points. For the analysis, we use NIRF 2023 Overall Rankingsdata. In light of this article, we hope that NIRF undergoes a complete reviewand takes corrective action.
