The article focuses on 21st century skills. In today's world, we are faced with rapid changes in technology, economy and society, which require new skills and competencies from people. The willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing world has become a key factor for success and prosperity in the 21st century. That is why the formation of 21st century skills become an important task of education and upbringing. The article provides an overview of the normative documents, strategies and national programs related to the development of skills and competences. Emphasis is placed on clarifying the nature and importance of critical thinking, creativity, communication and interaction as an important part of 21st century skills.
