This study was conducted because there were problems with students' reading comprehension skills. Students' ability to understand the contents of the reading can be said to be still low, this is due to the implementation of learning that is less innovative. Therefore, this study aims to determine the differences or significant effects on students before and after being given a treatment, namely by using the cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) learning model assisted by digital story books to improve reading skills. The method in this study uses quantitative pre-experimental type One-Group Pretest Posttest design. Students' reading ability can increase after being given a treatment. The research results obtained have shown the influence of the use of the cooperative integrated reading and composition learning model assisted by digital story books in improving the reading skills of grade V students at Kenongo 1 State Elementary School.
