The years between (March/11/1970-March/10/1974) was an important period in the history of Kurdish relations with the Iraqi government. The announcement of the (March 11) declaration and the recognition of autonomy to the southern Kurds was a valuable achievement for this part of Kurdistan. The Kurds participated in the Iraqi government with five ministers. Newroz was recognized as an official holiday throughout Iraq. The administration of Kurdistan except Kirkuk was given to the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). However, during this period, the Iraqi government and the PDK failed to reach a complete agreement and the war between them resumed. During this period, relations between the Kurds and the Iraqi government experienced many ups and downs. This study is devoted to highlighting these relations from the perspective of Iran's official newspapers that have paid great attention to these relations. Because the Iranian government was against the (March 11) agreement. Therefore, the Iranian official newspapers have done their best to prevent the agreement between the Kurds and the Iraqi government to fail and the war between them to resume, and the Kurds lose this achievement.
