Impartiality of Arbitrators on International Commercial Arbitration

The article analyzes the requirement of impartiality of arbitrators in international commercial arbitration. The author pays attention to the latest novelties of the International Bar Association Guidelines on Conflict of Interest in International Arbitration, among which is the provision on the termination of the arbitrator's duty to be impartial and independent after the award is rendered. The paper also analyzes selected domestic judicial and international arbitration practice in the field of impartiality of arbitrators.
