Abstract Acoustic Black Holes (ABH) have good manipulation properties for bending waves, which can be used as a new idea for structural vibration damping. In this paper, an ABH sandwich panel structure is designed by combining the lightweight and high specific strength characteristics of carbon fiber composites, and its vibration transmission characteristics are discussed by using the finite element method. Finally, the reliability of the simulation analysis and the influence of the structural type of the sandwich panel’s joint surface on its vibration performance are verified by the experimental test. The study shows that in the frequency band of 0-1200 Hz, the simulation analysis and the experimental test results are basically fitted, and the concave joint surface has a better low-frequency vibration-damping effect compared with the convex joint surface structure.
