Legal Consequences of a Notarial Deed That Is Not Read Aloud and Not Provided with a Copy (Case Study of Verdict Number 13/Pdt.G/2022/PN Bgr)

A notary is responsible for creating authentic written evidence and is authorized by law to provide valid legal proof. However, not all notaries fulfill the formal requirements in drafting deeds. This research uses a normative juridical method with a statutory approach, collecting data from relevant regulations and legal literature. The findings indicate that Notary Cornelius Hutapea, S.H., did not read aloud or provide a copy of the deed. Although the judge dismissed the plaintiff's lawsuit, the status of the notarial deed would be downgraded to that of a private deed.
