Implementation of the Ar-Rahman Method in Improving the Ability To Read the Al-Quran in Semi-Modern Islamic Boarding Schools

Allah sent Islam as a life guide, and the role of parents in the early education of children, including the teaching of the Qur'an is very important. In the Pondok Pesantren Nurul Mushtofa, the Method of the Most Merciful was developed to improve the quality of the teaching of the Qur'an. This investigator uses qualitative methods used with participatory observations, interviews, and documentation. Research results show that the Method of the Most Merciful involves three steps: planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. Learning techniques using the talaqqi system, that is, listening and reading with the Nahawand tone tartil method as well as writing skills. Evaluations are conducted daily and monthly, including grade-raising evaluations every Wednesday. Obstacles to implementation include lack of parent support, lack of competent teachers, and inconsistent teacher schedules.
