The article describes the psychological and pedagogical conditions for improving the process of learning vocals in the educational environment at the modern stage. These conditions are directed at ensuring psychological comfort in the educational process. The roles of psychological comfort of the educational environment, comprehensive communications of the subjects of the pedagogical process, the integrity of the organisation and methodology of educating future singers, the integrated use of activity-based, competence-based and student-oriented educational approaches, a high level of motivation and cognitive interest in the learning process, and situations of success are shown in detail. The functional content of the conditions and their role in the formation of professional competence of vocalists is presented using the method of pedagogical modelling.
