The increase in the letters of meanings is one of the structural issues that lead to the expansion of the sentence structure. The problem of the current study is represented in the difference of grammarians in increasing the letter “except” “'illa” in some sentences, and the consequent effect of this increase on the meaning and structure of the sentence. This research aims to study the increase of the letter “except” “'illa” in the context of the Prophet's hadith in an analytical grammatical study to gain knowledge of its role in explaining the noble had-iths of the Prophet; To help understand the foundations of grammar, its grammar, and the factors that affect it, and to develop and advance the Arabic language. The study followed the inductive analytical approach, consist-ing of an introduction, a preface, and two chapters. One of the most important findings of the study is that the verbal benefits of increasing the letters revolve around decorating the pronunciation for good hearing, assonance, and straightening the weight of poetry. And that the addition of “except” “'illa” in the context of the condition serves to alert, affirm, and strengthen the meaning. And its increase comes in abundance in the context of the condition and after the negative verb. The study recommends studying the increase of letters in the contexts of the subjunctive and after the negative verb in different forms of literature.
