( Int J Obstet Anesth . 2023;56:103905. doi:10.1016/j.ijoa.2023.103905) Inadequate neuraxial anesthesia during cesarean delivery can result in intraoperative pain and poor maternal mental health, as well as possible litigation. This cross-sectional study explored many facets including consent, neuraxial block assessment, and intraoperative pain management by surveying obstetric anesthetic practitioners. The questionnaire was given live at the virtual Obstetric Anaesthetists’ Association (OAA) Annual Scientific Meeting in 2021 using an audience response system, but was first assessed for validity using the Content Validity Index.
