In this research, the scholar attempts to delineate the features of rhetorical expression in the poetry of Al-Qumait Al-Asadi (Al-Hashimiyat), which consists of his poems praising and defending the rights of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). These verses extol the household of the Prophet (peace be upon him) while also denouncing their adversaries among the Umayyads. They are known as Al-Hashemiyat, named after Banu Hashim. The poet Al-Qamit took a new path in his poetry that we have not seen in the poets who preceded him. He engaged in debate and argument, presented evidence and proofs to strengthen his defense. His goal was political and ideological, and by adopting this style, he gave the poem a clear rhetorical direction through the rhetorical devices he used, similar to those used by a speaker in his speech for the purpose of persuasion and influence. The research has focused on these devices and others, as will be discussed in the research.
