The Arabization of tertiary education (necessity and reality practice)

The Arabization is important choice of many main choices the Algeria sought to rely on to make radical and structural changes for Algerian public life, to formule language policy for the post –independence phase. This paper deals with issue of Arabization within the framework of an approach that stems from two aspects: first, researching into criteria for the selection of Arabization that have been Imposed by those changes as necessary, and that have been determined by the texts of national constitutions and charters. Second monitoring the reality of Arabization in terms of its path, and its transformations in the tertiary education in Algeria. This is manifested in the conflict between two prominent movements there: advocates of Arabization, advocates of Frenchization. That causes problems and obstacles which results in a failure to achieve Arabization and to be entirely successful.
