Abstract Background:According to different researches kinesio and rigid taping both found to have a positive effect on the treatment for knee osteoarthritis, whereas kind of taping which is more 8 effective still require investigations. Objective:To compare the effect of kinesio taping and rigid taping on the pain, range of motion and limited functioning in knee osteoarthritis. Methodology: A randomize control trails was conducted at ATTA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL from October 2022 to May 2023. 36 Patients aged 40-60 years with grade 1-3 osteoarthritis suffering from 6 months were included in this study. These 36 Patients were randomly divided into two groups, Group A with 18 patients received the Kinesio taping while group B with 18 patients received rigid taping, while conventional therapy was given to both groups. Patients were also guided about postural care. Analysis was done by SPSS 22. Results: Analysis of data within group by Freidman test shows significant improvement in pain, range of knee flexion and extension, and functional activities measured by WOMAC index (p-value is Conclusion: The study concludes that both interventions, kinesio and rigid taping, along with conventional treatment, are equally effective for reducing pain , increasing range of motion and improving functional limitations for knee osteoarthritis patients.
