The change in the crime structure in the past 10 years caused by the development of digital technologies requires new methods, means and techniques of solving and investigation of crimes. Review of crime prevention from the standpoint of regularities covered by the subject area of the criminalistic science refl ects the need to combat crime by criminalistic methods and means. The content, methods and forms of criminalistic prevention diff er from criminological ones as they are conditional upon the modus operandi.
