Acne is an infection that occurs on the surface of the skin in the form of inflammation of the oil glands in the epidermis layer of the skin. Prolonged treatment of acne using antibiotics will cause Propionibacterium acnes to become resistant. Alternative treatment for acne, natural antibacterials are used, one of which is neem (Azadirachta indica Juss). Neem leaves contain bioactive compounds which function as antibacterials. This study aims to identify the inhibitory power of neem leaf extract against Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. The research design used was experimental, testing the inhibitory power of neem leaves (Azadirachta indica Juss) was carried out using the in vitro diffusion method by observing the occurrence of an inhibition zone around the disc. Concentration 100% is the most effective concentration in inhibiting the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria with a result of 16 mm which is included in the strong category.
