MBBS teaching in China faces many difficulties in both teaching and learning due to the fact that teachers and students are mostly non native English speakers. Therefore, educators in China have attempted to use different teaching methods to overcome these difficulties and improve teaching quality. Our research compares the effectiveness of PBL teaching and reverse teaching, which are very popular, in the study of internal medicine for MBBS students. Two groups (15 students) were randomly selected from the 2019 Internship of Internal Medicine for students. In the first group, PBL teaching was used for the endocrine section and PBL teaching was used for the digestion section. In the 2nd group, PBL teaching was used for the endocrine section and PBL teaching was used for the digestion section. At the end of each chapter's study, questionnaire scores and stage summary exams were given, and stage exam scores and questionnaire scores were calculated based on the learning method. The results showed that the teaching experience of using reverse teaching was better than that of PBL teaching (p<0.05), and the stage summary exam score after using reverse teaching was higher than that of PBL teaching (p<0.05). Among these students, four of them used AI to participate in their studies and found that their satisfaction with the course was significantly higher than the average (p<0.05). However, their test scores did not show a significant improvement compared to the average. According to the research results, we believe that reverse teaching has a better teaching effect in internal medicine teaching than PBL teaching, and the use of AI can significantly improve student satisfaction with the course, At the same time, we have considered the specific reasons for the above conclusions and proposed relevant improvement suggestions.
