In late 1919 and early 1920, the official – civil and military - delegations of the First Republic of Armenia in the United States, in addition to political, diplomatic, economic and military assignments, were also tasked with establishing, strengthening and maintaining unity in the Armenian colony of America. At the initial stage of the mission's activities, some positive steps were recorded in the above-mentioned areas, especially in the issue of strengthening cohesion and unity in the Armenian community. However, the results were not decisive and, as a final assessment, it should be noted that the delegations failed to fulfill most of the tasks set, including the problem of the Armenian colony.
