This Article considers how health technologies using Al can be used to expand access to care today within existing regulatory confines in the United States. Embedded within that discussion are legal and ethical considerations that are important to the facilitation of such technologies for providing care. There will be regulatory changes in the years to come, and it is beneficial to highlight where the law currently stands. In this regard, this Article provides a modest overview of remote care solutions and a guide to three central legal considerations that arise in using AI for remote care. These considerations should form part of the criteria used to evaluate any exploratory discussions for new health devices.
