This study examines the coexistence and interaction of modern and traditional health care systems in the Bhotia-dominated landscapes of Pithoragarh District, Uttarakhand. Through qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys and interviews, this research explores how these systems function, their accessibility, and their impact on the local population's health. In the study 267 tribal women representing 7 villages of 2 different provinces of Pithoragarh district were surveyed. The findings reveal a complex interplay where traditional practices complement modern health care but also highlight significant challenges related to infrastructure and cultural acceptance.
