The Korean adverb 'Gyeou' is a typical polysemous expression. This article mainly combines the relevant theories and analysis methods of Talmy (2000) and König (1979), and from the perspective of Korean-Chinese correspondence, the Chinese corresponding expression types and expressions of the adverb 'Gyeou' are analyzed. Its internal semantic differentiation and expansion will be investigated. Preliminary conclusions can be drawn as follows: 'Gyeou' can roughly correspond to the following eight types: hardship type (explicit type), the hardship type (implicit type), the limited type, the contempt type, the dissatisfaction type, the approaching critical point type, the coincidental type, and the unmarked type. Its different types have similar but distinct characteristics in terms of force dynamic performance, relatively abstract dimensions such as time, and expectation characteristics. Judging from its corresponding semantic types and related characteristics, the internal semantic differentiation and expansion of the Korean adverb 'Gyeou' are closely related to mechanisms such as illocutionary force, pragmatic transfer, and expectation-evaluation interaction.
