With a majority Muslim population, politics in Indonesia is often influenced by religious values and identity politics strategies. For Muslims in Indonesia, electing leaders is not only a political obligation, but also an effort to create leaders who are in accordance with Islamic teachings and are able to realize the ideals of justice and prosperity for the entire community. However, in achieving political victory, there is often abuse of religious identity and the use of political power that is not in accordance with the principles of Islam. Therefore, it is important to ensure that political practices in Indonesia are based on the values of justice, tolerance and respect for diversity, in order to achieve the ideal of an inclusive and harmonious society.
