With rich natural resources and landscapes, as well as a diverse culture, Vietnam has great potential to become one of Asia’s leading ecotourism destinations. However, ecotourism in Vietnam, as in many other countries, is still a concept that is often not understood or applied properly, with negative impacts on the environment and local people. The article describes popular ecotourism destinations in Vietnam. The authors offer ways to solve emerging problems.
