As an evolution of Chinese opera art, Chinese national opera has assumed an increasingly significant role within the broader landscape of Chinese theatrical performance. This paper undertakes a comparative analysis of the vocal techniques, performance styles, and character development in traditional Chinese opera, exploring the integration of these elements into the singing practices of Chinese national opera. Furthermore, by examining contemporary vocal techniques in Chinese national opera, this study offers insight into the genre’s potential trajectory onto the global stage.
