At the moment, the global information space is filled with information wars. Information-psychological warfare influences entire generations, builds the “correct” worldview of people, giving a clear definition of “friends” and “strangers,” “bad” and “good.” As part of information-psychological warfare, states choose instruments of influence, according to the current time and popularity among certain segments of the population. The article is devoted to the philosophical understanding of information and psychological warfare, a new interpretation of the philosophy of information warfare, which differs from the classical understanding of war. A brief history of the emergence of the term “information and psychological war” and its definition is given, the interdisciplinary nature of this term is noted, and the main points of the concept of philosophical understanding of information and psychological war are highlighted. In conclusion, the author reveals the problems and relevance of studying information wars.
