Traditional Russian Moral and Spiritual Values as a Criminal Law Protection Item

The article provides a definition of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values and substantiates their connection with the national security system, within which these values are protected from various kinds of threats. The paper considers the concept of “legal protection”, identified with the concept of “protection”, which allows us to talk about the need to recognize traditional values as an object of legal protection in the format of criminal law protection. The author argues the admissibility of this point of view from the position of compliance of traditional values, as an object of criminal law protection, with the criteria of the object allocated by domestic scientists. In favor of the admissibility of recognizing traditional Russian spiritual and moral values as an object of criminal law protection, the fact of recognizing a number of elements that make up this concept as these objects testifies.
