The management of migration is one of the pressing and significant issues not only for our country, but also internationally. The multi-component nature of migration processes, which includes many aspects of public, economic, and political dimensions, deserves special mention. The article focuses on one of the components of labor migration, such as interstate agreements on temporary legal employment abroad. Similar agreements are made between the two partner states in accordance with the demands/needs in the labor market and to eliminate the existing imbalance regarding specialists with specific qualifications. These agreements have become particularly relevant during the last decade, as the need to attract qualified personnel of various specialties has been highlighted in developed economies due to factors such as emigration and growing economic development. These agreements are considered one of the means of preventing illegal migration, offering an effective opportunity to protect the interests of both sending and receiving countries, as well as the migrant.
