Moral and volitional qualities are a regulator of individual behavior in the context of his value attitudes, activities and interaction with other people, which actualizes the issue of developing appropriate forms, methods and methods of work for the education of moral and volitional qualities of student youth. Numerous domestic and foreign studies actualize the educational potential of sports and recreational activities in the education of moral and volitional qualities of the individual, in particular through the involvement of student youth in martial arts. The analysis of domestic and foreign scientific works and practical experience regarding the introduction of elements of martial arts into the educational process of ZZSO allows us to draw conclusions about their resource potential, which contributes to: education of important moral and volitional qualities; developing skills of emotional control, concentration, concentration; formation of value attitudes (dignity, self-respect, attentiveness and respect; formation of a sense of empathy, compassion, understanding of one's own emotions and the feelings of others; involvement in joint activities, responsibility for achieving joint results, development of cooperation and effective interaction skills; gaining experience in adaptability, self-efficacy, acceptance decisions, strategic and tactical thinking, the development of self-discipline, compliance with obligations, the formation of a valuable attitude to health, a healthy lifestyle; expansion of knowledge about the effects of martial arts on personality development and character formation; acquisition of practical experience for successful training and competitive activities; formation of skills for prioritizing important matters (finding a balance between leisure time, study, training, etc.); development of physical indicators of strength, speed, endurance, dexterity, flexibility, coordination.
