Improvement of standardized feeding of cows with record milk yields is carried out by optimizing rumen digestion with the inclusion of effective feed additives in the rations. In the Vologda region and in the country as a whole herds of cows with a high genetic potential for productivity have been bred the implementation of which is impossible without improving their feeding by using eff ective feed products that contribute to the optimization of metabolic processes of digestion. The purpose of the work was to determine the eff ect of the digestion activator MegaBoost Rumen on the digestibility of nutrients in cows with a milk yield of 9000–10000 kg of milk on their daily milk yield, milk composition, and health status. Inclusion of two dosages of the biological product MegaBoost Rumen into the rations of highly productive cows during the transition period such as 50 g/head/day to the 1st experimental group and 100 g/head/ day to the 2nd experimental group, and from the 22nd to the 150th day of lactation 100 g/head/day to both experimental groups, had a positive eff ect on the palatability of feed mixtures, the digestibility of nutrients, including fi ber and nitrogen-free extractive substances. Higher retention of nutrients in cows when using the digestion activator caused an increase in milk yield by 7.9 and 10.9 % with a decrease in feed costs for production and maintaining high nutritional properties of milk. Normalization of metabolic processes in cows of the experimental groups was experimentally confi rmed by biochemical blood tests. Animal science and economic analysis of the results of scientifi c and economic experiment convincingly showed that the most acceptable dosage of the additive was that used in the 2nd experimental group ensuring an increase in the level of profitability of milk production in the fi rst half of lactation to 25.5 %.
