The ability to speak and communicate in Arabic as a foreign language is essential for nurses to carry out their duties in globalization. However, the lack of learning materials for medical purposes is an obstacle for nursing students to learn Arabic conversation. This paper aimed to explore the effectiveness of speaking materials in improving the speaking skills of nursing students. This study involved one experimental group consisting of 33 nursing students. In obtaining the data, this study used a quasi-experimental one-group pretest nursing students; speaking material; speaking skills; specific purposes.
