Under the conditions of today’s realities, the traditional methods of teaching in higher medical educational institutions have changed. Therefore, it is urgent to introduce new forms and methods of education, which should preserve the high quality of the educational process, and ensure the acquisition of all necessary competencies in the training of doctors. The main emphasis in the work of the departments of the clinical profile should be aimed primarily at students’ assimilation of theoretical knowledge and mastering of practical skills in the discipline. Objective is to create the conditions for successful education in teaching the subject of endocrinology, to improve the study of the discipline and to systematize knowledge in training a specialist under the conditions of martial law in Ukraine. Materials and methods. We conducted a study and analysis of modern literary and scientific data that reflect the peculiarities of the formation of medical education. Results. The discipline «Endocrinology» is studied by students of the fourth and sixth years of the medical faculty, majoring in «General Medicine», which consists of three meaningful modules. At the medical faculty of the Uzhgorod National University, students are offered a list of practical skills that they should master during their studies. The provision of educational services is carried out on the basis of the endocrinology department of the regional clinical hospital, where students have the opportunity to significantly improve and deepen their knowledge, skills in mastering practical skills directly in the conditions of a specialized clinical hospital. Effective teaching of the discipline «Endocrinology» is impossible without adequate knowledge of previous, fundamental disciplines, which include anatomy, biology, histology, normal physiology, topographic anatomy. Mastering practical skills is an essential component in the training of a doctor. Therefore, one of the stages of practical training for students when studying the discipline «Endocrinology» is working with a patient in the ward. At the same time, it should be emphasized that the pedagogical and therapeutic experience of the teacher must be at the appropriate level. Thus, the use of modern forms and methods of education, the introduction of innovative technologies, innovations ensure high cognitive activity of students, contribute to increasing their level of knowledge and skills. Conclusions. The presence of all the necessary clinical conditions for the effective mastery and assimilation of practical skills by students, the correct formation of their clinical thinking in endocrinology is considered only one of the components for the full-fledged training of future doctors.
