Digitalization of Prosecutor’s Activities as a Necessary Condition of Functioning of Prosecution Authorities in the Information Society Development Conditions

Currently, the information society and the digital economy are actively developing in the Russian Federation, and information technologies are increasingly being introduced into the activities of public authorities. In this regard, the activities of the prosecutor’s office in these conditions cannot be carried out and developed in isolation from these processes. The author analyzes the current state of digitalization of the activities of the prosecutor’s office in relation to its individual functions and areas, taking into account the requirements of strategic planning documents. According to the results of the study, it was concluded that only the introduction of modern information technologies into the activities of the prosecutor’s office, carried out synchronously with the processes of digitalization of the activities of public authorities, will allow achieving the goals of prosecutorial activity and solving the tasks assigned to the prosecutor’s office.
