The article discusses the problems of timely detection of signs of deviant and delinquent behavior in minors. Attention is paid to the consideration of the causes and factors contributing to the formation of such behavior, as well as the characteristics of its typical manifestations. Since in order to prevent the tendency to illegal acts in minors, it is necessary to study and understand the specifics of their deviant behavior, the causes of deviation, the authors proposed the main methods of preventing delinquent behavior in minors at various stages of their criminalization.
