This study analyzed factors affecting the experience of elder abuse among the elderly living in Korea. A total of 9,920 people who responded to the experience of elder abuse were selected as subjects for this study. Based on previous studies, demographic and social environmental factors were selected as factors affecting the occurrence of elder abuse. Decision tree analysis, a data mining technique, was conducted to analyze the structural relationship of variables. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the incidence of elder abuse increased in the elderly who experienced conflicts with their children, who evaluated social respect for the elderly negatively, and who had high depression.
