With the development of social economy and the changes in the demand for talent market, colleges and universities need to reform the curriculum teaching to enhance the overall quality of students. This article takes the curriculum reform in universities as the research object, collects data through questionnaire surveys and interviews, and analyzes the impact of curriculum reform on improving students' comprehensive quality. The results show that the curriculum reform can effectively improve students' comprehensive qualities such as innovative thinking, teamwork, critical thinking and communication skills by improving teaching methods, optimizing curriculum structure, and enhancing the practicality and forefront of curriculum content. In addition, the teaching reform has also promoted students' autonomous learning and career planning ability. These findings have important implications for understanding and evaluating the effects of higher education reform, and for providing decision-making evidence for further education reform.
