Emotional intelligence has become extremely important in recent years, particularly when forecasting an individual's success or failure. It has been discovered that those with higher emotional intelligence are more capable of effectively managing life's circumstances than people with lower emotional intelligence. Children between the ages of 14 and 16 go through a stage of life that is thought to be essential to the development of a later stage. Many people view this stage as stressful and stormy. Since their ability to manage and regulate their emotions will affect their present and future lives, they must go through this stage. In the present study, the emotional intelligence of 220 male and female secondary school students was taken from Tehsil Taxila District Rawalpindi. Statistical analysis of data collected through stratified randomization was achieved. Some observations made have led to the hypothesis that there is a major difference between the two genders in terms of emotional intelligence. However, only females performed well in various areas of emotional intelligence encompassing self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and interpersonal relations. Again, in female students, all factors were major such as secondary school students' self-awareness, self-regulated, motivation, empathy, and social skills of EI than males. The findings showed that the overall score for emotional intelligence depends on gender. The information yielded by this study will enable the ornamentation of the contents of gender-based differences of emotional intelligence.
